This research program was created after consensus between scientists of the European Danone Institutes on their interest in testing the existence of a relationship between the level of early protein intake and the later risk of obesityobesity. Five infants’ clusters, amounting to 1250 children, are followed in five European countries (Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy, and Poland). Half of them are fed a low-protein formula recommendations’ bottom limit); the others are fed a high-protein formula (recommendations’ top  limit) with isocaloric content. At the same time, a cluster of breastfed infants is taken as control. Several parameters are considered, such as height, weight, and biological factors. At the end of the program important conclusions will be drawn on the relation between protein intake, growth and obesity risk.
