Professor Jeffrey I. Gordon, Laureate of the 2011 Danone International Prize for Nutrition

The 8th Danone International Prize for Nutrition is awarded to Professor Jeffrey I. Gordon of the Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to scientific research on the human gut microbiome, diet and nutritional status.
The official announcement of Professor Jeffrey I. Gordon as the recipient of the 2011 Danone International Prize for Nutrition took place on July 13th, 2011 at the 11th Asian Congress of Nutrition in Singapore.
On this occasion, Professor Jeffrey I. Gordon gave a special lecture of his work, followed by a prestigious ceremony and a cocktail party. The Danone Institute International team is really pleased to award Professor Gordon who has developped such a novel concept in nutrition.
