Danone International Prize for Nutrition
The 2009 Danone International Prize for Nutrition was awarded at the 19th International Congress of Nutrition in Bangkok, Thailand; The prize, which totals 120,000 euros rewards outstanding researchers in the field of Nutrition and illustrates Group Danone's commitment to health and nutrition.
The 7th Danone International Prize for Nutrition is awarded to Professor Johan Auwerx of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland in recognition of his outstanding contribution to scientific research on the effect of nutritents on cell metabolism and the consequences on metabolism, metabolic diseases, and homeostasis.

Danone Institutes
Danone Institutes are non-profit organizations whose mission is to develop and disseminate scientific knowledge on diet and nutrition to benefit public health. To accomplish these goals, Danone Institutes support research initiatives, training programs on diet and nutrition for health and education professionals, and  disseminate information on diet and nutrition to the general public. Today, Danone Institutes are present in 17 countries and bring together more than 200 independent experts on diet and nutrition.

Danone Institutes are not-for-profit entities which link scientists involved in human nutrition with health and education professionals. They support nutrition research programs and provide diet and nutritional information including: information on eating behaviors, dietary guidelines, nutrition events and nutrition organizations. The Institutes focus particularly on, Nutrition and child development, early childhood nutrition and childhood obesity prevention.
